WHAT I STAND FOR:
Extensive Probate Law Experience
I have worked in probate law for nearly 15 years, giving me a broad and deep understanding of all aspects of probate. I understand the legal side and, just as importantly, I understand the human side. Making a fair, impartial decision requires seeing the whole picture and digging deeper into a person’s situation to truly understand the entirety of the case before me.
Compassion for People
Probate is a special area of the law. People come to probate court grieving the loss of a loved one, seeking financial or medical care for a vulnerable person, or looking to establish safeguards for their assets. Having a judge on the bench who cares deeply about people is so important for probate court. When you come into my courtroom, I will earn your trust by seeing you, hearing you, and treating you with respect and fairness.
Sharing Probate Law Knowledge
Probate court doesn’t have to be intimidating. Community education and outreach are key to reducing the anxiety and fear many people have about this area of law. Everyone who finds themselves before the probate court—whether lawyers, people who are not legally represented, family members, advocates, caregivers, fiduciaries, or guardians—would benefit from learning about probate law and the court system itself.
